Looking Forward to Fall; the air is finally getting cooler and nights getting longer. This has brought about a darker color palette and a change of perspective on subject matter for an appreciation of abstraction. This subtle change of form is still related to organic inspired form and rooted in nature.

It appears the lines are being blurred between what would be a flower, a breeze a diminishing cloud or a passing bird. I continue to be interested in the movement of nature and its free and gentle light, and free forms, but some of the view has changed. A horizontal perspective of landscape has transformed to a musing overshadows and groups of forms from above. Overall, the feeling has shifted to larger motion and lofty feel, than the landforms.

At the begging of the month, Oct 6th, I will take a short weekend trip to Jekyll where I, along with two other artist, Joy Hughes and Joanna Hill are showing work at Goodyear Art Gallery, located in the historic village of Jekyll Island, GA.
