Workshops
Week One - An introduction to supplies and mediums. Discovering the best values! Find the perfect place and composition for your landscape. Including how to use a viewfinder.
Week Two - We'll explore what landscape art is and learn how to arrange the foreground, middle ground, and background to create a cohesive scene. We'll walk through each step together, starting with understanding what makes a value captivating. We'll also begin crafting a color palette and discover ways to make it even more vibrant and engaging.
Week Three - Learn how to decide which details to focus on and when to step back for a more general view. Discover how to work with shadows, light, colors, and shapes to tell a compelling story in a landscape.
Week Four - This will be a general review and a wrap-up of the class. Looking to select the best photos for your landscape paintings? Discover how to gather useful on-site information that can inspire fascinating artwork in your studio. Plus, learn what to include or omit in your photos to enhance your compositions and understand the reasons behind these choices.
