May 2026 Newsletter
As spring turns to summer, I’ve been soaking in the beauty of changing skies, fresh color palettes, and time in the studio. Between painting through stormy afternoons and planning new adventures, I’m excited to share a few upcoming workshops, exhibitions, and inspirations with you. I hope this season brings you time to slow down, get outside, and enjoy the beauty around you.

Hello Friends,
Spring has brought lots of growth, new beginnings, and pollen allergies. I’ve really enjoyed painting in my studio and working on some familiar landscapes as the storms roll through. It’s been fun to loosen up my technique and explore lively color palettes. I always find myself using violet tones—can we ever have too much violet?
So, this summer, let’s get outside to our favorite spot—Forest Park!
I'm excited to share that I'll be hosting a plein air workshop on Saturday mornings from 9 am to noon! I chose this time not only to accommodate the request for a later start but also to enjoy the cooler part of the day. If you're interested, please sign up using the link at the bottom of this letter, or through my website.
I’m also excited to share some updates! I am showcasing my new work at Demun Healing again! I love the kind-hearted people from this community, and I realize just how special and welcoming that location really is. There's a planned opening at Demun Healing Center on June 6th from 3-5 pm. I hope you’ll stop by to see my new art and meet some cool people!
Coming up in Terri’s life, I am going to Jekyll Island, GA. The salty ocean breeze, windy branches, majestic wildlife, and the soothing ocean waves are mystical and otherworldly- providing a great basis for many of my landscapes. The Golden Isles inspire me again and again!
Make sure to eat lots of ice cream this summer and wear sunscreen. I hope to see you soon!
Cheers,
Terri Shay
